When registering on our site or on our Aley App, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address or other details to determine if you are of age eligible to use our platform and also to help you with your experience. We collect information from you when you register on our site or enter information on our site.

We may use the information we collect from you when you register, make a purchase, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf the website, or use certain other site features in the following ways:

  • To personalize your experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and service/product offerings in which you are most interested.

  • When you invite your friends or mentors to enroll on the platform and help you discover more friends and mentors on the platform

All learning experience related information uploaded by you on the platform is only made visible to other members as well as anyone searching on the internet by an explicit action from your end. We do not share your personal details with anyone else on the platform or beyond it other than the minimum needed for participants to identify you meaningfully for a collaborative experience on the platform or for providing additional services on the platform.

We take all reasonable measures to keep your data private in relation to the use of the Aley website / App. We never ask for credit card numbers and if we do so, we will not store them and will be done so only through PCI complaint 3rd party payment interfaces that follow all legal requirements. Financial transactions if any, are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers. We or our hosting partners will use regular Malware Scanning to a reasonable extent possible to keep our platform free of such malware.

Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. We implement a variety of security measures when a user enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information. We will do our best to protect your personal information but we cannot guarantee the security of your information which is transmitted to our website, applications or services or to other website, applications and services via an internet or similar connection. If we have given you (or you have chosen) a password to access certain areas of our websites, applications or services please keep this password safe – we will not share this password with anyone else.

We use cookies on our websites to personalize and enhancing the experience for users. Our websites, applications or services may enable you to share information with social media sites, or use social media sites to create your account or to connect your social media account. Those social media sites may automatically provide us with access to certain personal information retained by them about you (for example any content you have viewed). You should be able to manage your privacy settings from within your own third party social media account(s) to manage what personal information you enable us to access from that account. We may enable Google AdSense on our site in the future.

When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under the age of 12 years old, we allow it only through the parent’s discretion and control. We will not require a child to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate and take advantage of all the features of the platform/app/website. Parents can review their child's personal information, request us to delete it should there be a concern, and refuse to allow any further collection or use of the child's information up. Parents on signing up and upon adding children details to the platform are agreeing explicitly to the collection and use of their child's information.
